Where the French Fries are Crispy and Dreams Come True!

Like many mornings, Tania and I woke up and met our crew at Starbucks. This particular day I wanted to switch up my regular Starbucks order and I got an iced tea. I was living on the wild side…. Ok, well maybe not.

After a busy day, Tania and I took our regular seats at the Bar at Prime Italian in South Beach. We love Prime Italian and Prime Italian loves us. We don’t usually order anything else besides our espresso martinis and the chopped salad. However, I changed up my Starbucks order earlier so I thought we could order Read the rest of this entry »

I was hung over. I looked like shit and I felt like shit, but Tania asked me to go shopping. She was craving cheesecake and she really wanted to visit the Container Store. Tania is the most organized person in the world. She needs lists to keep track of her lists. I am the exact opposite. It is amazing I ever get anything accomplished. Tania and I couldn’t be more different, which is why the friendship works. I love her…

So, back to the story. I didn’t want to go shopping. There was not one iota of desire in my body to go to shopping. I agreed to go to the mall once she told me we were going to the Cheesecake Factory. I actually have a strong Read the rest of this entry »

Josh and I went out to eat on Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We ended up at Johnny V Restaurant and it was diggity dog delicious. I loved it. First, we ordered French fries! Yum, yum and yum!! The handmade truffled French fries came with truffled pecorino and lobster “dippin” gravy. Dippin gravy? Yes, you read that right. The French fries came with dippin gravy. Wow. The French fries were hot, crispy, salty and absolutely hit the spot in my grumbling belly. The dipping sauce had a very unique flavor that couldn’t have been more perfect. Why doesn’t every restaurant have truffled pecorino and lobster “dippin” gravy?

After the French fries, Josh ate some meat thing that he loved. I ordered the Fresh Bufala Mozzerella and Grilled Vegetable “Pie” that was made with basil aioli, croutons Read the rest of this entry »

I bought some bubblegum vodka because it is my favorite. To celebrate my purchase, some of my friends headed over to Josh’s to make some cocktails. After a couple drinks, my friends Jason, Brian, Francis and Josh all went to Purdy Lounge for a night of drinking, dancing and delights. Sometime around 3 a.m. someone had a great idea to grab some grub. Luck was on our side because Burger and Beer Joint was across the street. We skipped on over and picked a nice bench outside.

Just when I thought that I know everything about Burger and Beer Joint, I learned about a new type of French fry that they have. They are not new to the restaurant, but they were new to me! Chili and Cheese fries… I have no idea how I never knew these were on the menu because I have been there a gazillion times.
I didn’t eat the chili cheese French fries because chili isn’t my favorite. I did order the fried pickles and some regular skinny fries. Read the rest of this entry »

I went to work with my sister in Edina, Minnesota. I hung out with her all day. It was kind of like bring your daughter to work day for Sarah, but instead she brought her bored little sister. It was fun though. My sister works for a bridal store and I spent the day trying on dresses. Weddings really aren’t my thing, but my inner girly girl personality came out when I tried on about 1,000 dresses.

After I finally decided to stop trying on Read the rest of this entry »
