Making French Fry Pizza was so much fun! My friend Craig, from WorstPizza.com came over to teach me a thing or two about making pies. We made pizza and French fries and put them together to make French Fry Pizza. Andy Vitale also made a guest appearance to help with the food. Check out the video.
The Burger Beast presenting at the Burgies!
So last night was the Burgies put on by the Burger Beast. I was lucky enough to present the Burgie to the restaurant with the best fries. The winner of the much coveted award was Taurus in Coconut Grove, Florida. I have never actually been to Taurus, so now I have a new restaurant to look forward to trying! Belgian Fries at Hopjacks
Right after I went to Pensacola, my friend Steven went to Pensacola too! I wish we could have gone on the same day, but alas, I was on my way to somewhere new by the time Steven made it to the Panhandle. Steven went to Hopjacks, which happens to be a pizza joint. I am pretty darn excited for Monday, September 13 because the Burgies are taking places in Miami. Every year the Burger Beast hosts an award show to honor the best tasting comfort food in South Florida. I am going to be there, the Burger Beast is going to be there and most of the South Florida bloggers will be in attendance. Why wouldn’t you want to go?

Dharma Blue Restaurant - Pensacola Florida

I went to Orlando to visit some of my dearest friends in the entire world… I love my girls! When I first arrived, I was hungry! Hamburger Mary’s in Orlando has some of the best burgers in Florida. They also have a wide range of
fried potato options on their menus! In addition, they have Celebrity Impersonation Shows (or drag shows) that are so much fun…
My friends and I went to Briny Irish Pub on the Riverfront in Fort Lauderdale. I was really carving Thai food, but I kept getting denied. I finally just sat back and let them decide where to go. Josh took charge and suggested Briny Irish Pub. I love Irish pubs because they almost always have fresh-cut potatoes. We arrived and the place was pretty cute! It was right on the water and I was surprised at the size of the interior. It was decorated with marine décor and knick knacks. Josh and I were up in Fort Lauderdale after seeing a movie in 3-D at the Discover Center IMAX. Now, there is no way that anyone would ever call me a techie, but I am intelligent enough to know that 3-D technology came out before I was born. So, why is there a 3-D invasion happening across the world? Shouldn’t this have happened years and years ago? I mean, I am not complaining because I love when things look larger than life and come flying towards me. However, I just don’t get what all the fuss is about. Recently I came upon a little gem of a restaurant in Fort Lauderdale – Don Arturo. Jason and I have been there so many times that we know the servers by name. It is our little home away from home. Well, okay, maybe that is being a little dramatic, but we go to the place often.

I visited La Locanda, which is an Italian restaurant in South Beach, to have dinner with my friends Josh and Tania. We were actually surprised
when they said they had French fries! The food at La Locanda is amazing and the service is impeccable. That is pretty hard to come by in South Beach, so this is a real diamond in the rough.
Although the French fries were only ok, the rest of the food was delicious. I can keep writing, but you should probably just watch the video…
