Ahhhh…. pre-winter in Minnesota where the sky turns dark at 5:00 PM, you trade in your flip-flops for boots and start to think about bulking up for the actual winter months. Okay, so ‘bulking’ up might sound bad to those in the warmer regions but I am telling you people, it gets seriously cold here and a little extra plump helps to keep you insulated against the bitter wind chills.
One of the best things about living in Minnesota is the strong Irish influence. With that comes some great Guinness, awesome St. Patty’s Day Parties, and lots of local Irish Pubs. Sarah and I decided to meet for a little Happy Hour action at a fun local Irish hot spot, Shamrock’s in Saint Paul. Neither of us knowing what life changing food experience awaited us (alright, so life changing might be a bit high drama but I am a Drama Queen so just deal).
It was Hockey Night in St. Paul so the place quickly grew crowded. We were fortunate though as we had a table which afforded us a nice spot to sit and sip beers, and the best people watching we had encountered in a long time.
