French Fry Fairy

Wendy's French Fries

Wendy’s new French fries, which were introduced last year, have been in the news quite a bit. I took four of my closest friends to see if they stood up to McDonald’s French fries in a taste test. The five of us tried them out and rated them. Here are the results.

Taste Tester 1
McDonald’s: “They are salty, crispy and hot. I actually think they are a little too salty.”
Wendy’s: “I really like the skin on the potatoes. They are really, really good.”
Preference: Wendy’s

Taste Tester 2
McDonald’s: “The taste of these French fries is reminiscent of my childhood. I love how they haven’t changed over the years. They have a very unique flavor and are unlike any other French fries.”
Wendy’s: “These are greasier than McDonald’s fries. However, they are hot and salty. They are definitely a step up from the old Wendy’s fries.”

I recently read an article in the LA Times about a mother suing McDonald’s for marketing Happy Meals to children. This lady has WAY too much time on her hands. If you don’t want your children eating Happy Meals, then tell your children no. It’s as simple as that.

She is suing them because the toys offered in Happy Meals appeal to kids. Why isn’t she suing candy companies for making the sweets brightly colored?
