When I was at Go BeachFest, people quickly learned about my French fry addiction. Everyone was ranting and raving about the French fries at Sharkie’s, which were located on Club Med property in the Turks in Caicos. Sharkie’s is only open during happy hour and late nights. It is no wonder everyone thought the French fries were so good. They only ate them while they were consuming alcohol. Anything and everything tastes better with some alcohol in the bloodstream!

French Fry Fairy Loving Life in Turks and Caicos

Last week when I went to Go BeachFest at Club Med in the Turks and Caicos, I ended up having a better time than I ever expected. During the week, I was able to paddleboard, play volleyball, do pilates, do yoga and I even tried a little Kung Fu.

Like most people, I always gain five pounds on vacation. I was trying to make the right food choices to avoid the inevitable weight gain, but I didn’t have too much faith in my ability to say no to food. Read the rest of this entry »

I spent this past week in the Turks and Caicos at GoBeachFest and had the time of my life.

Da Conch Shack in Turks and Caicos

I met a lot of great people, played a little beach volleyball and I got to try out some new French fries. On this particular night, I was in for a real treat.

I headed over to Da Conch Shack with Mary, Dave, Jason and about 100 other people. The restaurant serves the freshest conch I have ever experienced.
