I had to work on a Saturday, which was a real bummer. On top of working on a Saturday, I had to drive to Tampa. The four hour road trip ended up being a lot of fun. I just started working with Jason, so four hours in the car could have been awful if we didn’t get along so well. It turns out he was my instant BFF.
I introduced him to music I like. He introduced me to music he liked. We talked a lot. That is a lie. I talked a lot. Finally after four hours we arrived in Tampa to photograph a member of the US Sailing Team. She is also training to be in the Summer Olympics, so that was pretty cool!
We decided to drive home from Tampa the same day. That meant we were in the car for a total of eight hours together.
Even I can only talk so much, so finally I decided to put on some old school New Kids on the Block, Milli Vanilli, Bon Jovi and other favorites from the 80s. Why is that music on my iPod? I used to take a lot of road trips. That type of music makes everyone smile. I bet even the grumpiest of grumps would crack a smile if Blame it on the Rain or Hangin’ Tough was being blasted through the stereo. So… that’s why it’s on my iPod.
Oh ya, this blog is about French fries. We stopped at Stingray’s Grill in Sarasota, Florida. We ordered the fries and they were good. They were hot, crispy, salty and a few dips in mayonnaise made them even more enjoyable than jamming to a little NKTOB. They were just regular French fries. They were not fresh cut and there were not any extra spices added, but they were good. I love French fries…

NKOTB is an instant hit. I keep about ten songs on my phone and ipod that I can pull out at any time for an instant party/fun time.
No mention of catching up with me in Tampa? I’m hurt French Fry Fairy!!!! Next time I’ll bring some french fries for you.
Just discovered your blog…I LOVE fries and I live in Orlando
Grace – I love that you enjoy a little NKOTB too!
Al – I suck. Seeing you was the highlight of the trip. When you come over my way next time, I owe you French fries =)
Kelley – I used to live in Orlando… Go to Ceviche and try the Patatas Bravas. They are so good! Not exactly French fries, but they are fried potatoes.
