I think I have written enough reviews about Clarke’s from this blog and the Miami New Times to earn my own seat at this restaurant. I don’t care though… the food is amazing. This particular evening, I was joined by my BFF Jenni from Minnesota. We have been friends since we were 12 years old. I won’t tell you how many years that has been, but let’s just say it has been a very long time!
I wanted to take Jenni to Clarke’s to meet some of my Miami friends. Jen and Tania joined us a girls’ night out. We ordered our dinners. Like always, I ordered a side of French fries to accompany my meal. They have potatoes galore at this place! They have French fries, fresh potato chips,
truffle oil and parmesan fries, curry fries and sweet potato fries. All of these are fresh cut and amazing.
One reason I particularly like Clarke’s is it is one place you can get crispy sweet potato fries. They are just the right
level of crunch, just the right level of salt and just the right level of yumminess. Yes, yumminess is word.
Jenni and Jen both agreed that the sweet potato fries were delicious. Tania and I already knew that we loved Clarke’s and their sweet potato fries, so it was not any surprise when they tasted perfect in my mouth. The sweet yummy taste of the potato, the tummy filling fat from being fried and the tanginess of the salt makes my mouth water just remembering the experience.
